AJ is our pride and joy...took these pics of him last night while we were opening gifts and I knew as soon as I saw them that I was going to scrap them...I wanted to make it a very grunge-y page so i used paint splatter, crumpled up kraft paper, glimmer mist....I love it!

The December kit at Tally has been so much fun to work with! And apparently everyone else thinks so too as it is SOLD OUT! However, you can get some of the papers from the kit in the Tally Store....so I suggest you head on over to check them out!
The papers in this kit are so darling! The colors so fun and the embellies...well, I can't even begin to describe the thick chipboard, the clear snowflake strips, and well, you know...all of it! Here's some of the pages I've done so far, with more to come this weekend...

Did this page this morning...too many people walk around all grumpy...does it really hurt to just smile at someone as they pass you on the street or in the aisle at the store? This is kind of a pet peeve of mine... It just takes a second to smile at someone or say hello....

DH and Son are off riding today...of course they had to use their new enclosed trailer that they got this week. It really is pretty cool. Now they can store all their gear, the bikes, everything in it instead of taking up all the room in the garage! Yay! They put in hooks for their helmets, a place to hang their riding clothes, a bracket for their drinking water jug...and of course the hooks to tie down their bikes. The outside right now has some company's info on it so Jeff will need to take a heat gun to it and take it off. Then maybe they'll do Zimmer Racing or something like that. AJ wants to start racing so I guess that would be appropriate...LOL! Here's some pics...

and the other one is givin' a peace sign... Love, love, Love Alanis Morisette! I knew I'd do a page from one of her songs in my art journal... did the background with a berry acrylic paint, then went over it with some yellow and some blue. added the denim pocket and distressed it. Then used raven glimmer mist through a mask and got some cool over spray from it and then the white bordering with one of my fiskars stamps in white acrylic paint. Wrote the lyric on with red pearl paint.

Here's another page for my song art journal. I love this song! It reminds me to live in the here and now... I used water color crayons and of course the pieces of sheet music (which I am including on every page in this particular art journal. I also used my heidi swapp clock stamps... Thanks for looking!

Okay, so I've decided I LOVE art journaling! I've been doing a lot of art journal cards thanks to my good friend Rachel (check out her awesome blog here) and A Year in the Life of an Art Journal. I have also been participating along with Emily Falconbridge's 52Q . And most recently I have decided that I really wanted to do a larger art journal book. So I went to a thrift store, picked up an old book...ripped it apart, mod podged and gesso'd some pages and got to work. I always thought the pages would take forever to do, but they don't...they are actually quite a bit quicker to do than I thought. My only problem is I have NO patience...I can't seem to wait for paint, gesso, mod podge, gels, whatever...to dry! Well, wouldn't you know, I actually like some of the things I've done that came about because I COULDN'T wait! LOL! Anyway, Several months ago I got myself a copy of Journal Revolution and read through it page by page. I loved what I saw! This week I order a copy of Visual Chronicles by Linda and Karen as well. I can't wait to get it and see the inspiration that I'm sure it holds!

What more can I say? It was fabulous! I had a wonderful time seeing some of the tally rally girls that I had met at the SC rally and meeting a whole bunch of new tally rally girls! I deepened some friendships and made a whole bunch of new ones! It was wonderful. While I didn't get a whole lot done as far as scrapping goes, I did get some wonderful things done...an art canvas in a class taught by Rachel (tallyho) and a cute little "me" canvas that I thought was just the coolest thing ever that Jen (firstladyofmant) brought for everyone to put in our goodie bags. She had done a dress cutout along with arms and legs, then took a picture of each of us to use for the head. I had so much fun putting it together. Thanks Jen! It was such a fabulous idea! I did manage to get a few good scrap pages done as well. Overall we had a wonderful time, great food, great drinks and great friends!

Time to leave for the Texas Tally Rally that is! Woohoo! I cannot wait! me and 34 other girls scrappin' our little hearts out. Well, there probably won't be much scrapping getting done...we'll be playing cornhole, drinking, eating, more cornhole, maybe some scrapping....LOL! We'll just be hangin' and having a great time! My online friends are some of the best friends a girl could ask for and I'm so excited to be able to spend some IRL time with them!
