Grandma's Attic is here! And it's fabulous! Lots of yummy vintage-y goodness in this one. Visit Jen's House Of Scrap to check it out! Here's a few pages I've done so far...
Did this page this morning...too many people walk around all grumpy...does it really hurt to just smile at someone as they pass you on the street or in the aisle at the store? This is kind of a pet peeve of mine... It just takes a second to smile at someone or say hello....
DH and Son are off riding today...of course they had to use their new enclosed trailer that they got this week. It really is pretty cool. Now they can store all their gear, the bikes, everything in it instead of taking up all the room in the garage! Yay! They put in hooks for their helmets, a place to hang their riding clothes, a bracket for their drinking water jug...and of course the hooks to tie down their bikes. The outside right now has some company's info on it so Jeff will need to take a heat gun to it and take it off. Then maybe they'll do Zimmer Racing or something like that. AJ wants to start racing so I guess that would be appropriate...LOL! Here's some pics...
and the other one is givin' a peace sign... Love, love, Love Alanis Morisette! I knew I'd do a page from one of her songs in my art journal... did the background with a berry acrylic paint, then went over it with some yellow and some blue. added the denim pocket and distressed it. Then used raven glimmer mist through a mask and got some cool over spray from it and then the white bordering with one of my fiskars stamps in white acrylic paint. Wrote the lyric on with red pearl paint.
Here's another page for my song art journal. I love this song! It reminds me to live in the here and now... I used water color crayons and of course the pieces of sheet music (which I am including on every page in this particular art journal. I also used my heidi swapp clock stamps... Thanks for looking!
Jen's House of Scrap is rollin' right along! The new October Kit, Monsters in My Closet is up! It's an awesome kit filled with all kinds of cute little goodies! It made me grab some of my WAY old photos of AJ and get to work! I didn't scrap much when he was little, but have been diggin' through some old photos and this kit works perfectly with them. So if you haven't check out Jen's House of Scrap...do it now! You can also visit it on facebook!
I love the song "let me be myself" by 3 doors down...that was the inspiration for this creation. I love how things just come together when i get my colors on paper and then the lyrics...it's been so much fun creating these pages...
It's up! Go check it out at the Gutter Girlz blog! The DT came up with some awesome pages for this one. I'm honored to be working with such talented girls!
